Game Summary: 1st Shutout of the Year

It finally came, in the 37th game of the GHL 07-08 season, a shutout. It was Peach who finally put together a game that ended with no pucks entering his net.  "My defense helped out a lot, I didn't even have to yell at them, they seemed motivated to play defense, so that really helped.  Other than that, I just put myself in a position to stop pucks, cut off angles, that sort of thing."  And that's just what he did allowing no goals in game 1 of Series 12.  The irony was that the goalie was heard making pregame comments about only being there because the GHL wanted him there.

"It (the shutout) came at the most unexpected time," said GHL's Nich Riveland.  "I didn't think he had the right demeanor to do it today, but sure enough, he did it.  "I think the whole GHL respects a shutout, they're hard to come by."

But Travis has recently expressed interest not in saving pucks from becoming goals, but puting on the skates, and making pucks into goals.  Commissioner Kelly Grotte is surprised at the possibel move, as is the rest of the GHL, but will support him whatever he decides. "I was shocked at the news, I mean, it looks like Travis was just starting to turn his year around with that shutout and the low GAA, I thought he was just beginning to settle in in net, and now he wants to come out, huh."

Backups Luke Schmitz and Nich Riveland have already accepted the bid to play in net more often if Travis were to make the switch.
