Operation Oponent: Goalie Grind
 |
 |
The GHL starting goaltenders Travis Peach and Zach Riveland were not good tonight...they
were great. In each of their winning efforts, they only let up a maximum of 2 goals in a game. Travis won the
first two games only letting in 3 goals during that 2 game span. Zach Riveland, showed resilliency, however, and came
back with 3 winning efforts in which he only allowed 4 goals, after allowing 10 in the first two. For all of his
effort, Zach received 2nd Star of the night. Anytime you have a series where a goalie has a GAA under 3.50, you
know it's a netminding clinic. There were clinics at both ends of the ice tonight.
In his first series back in seven series (he last made the 5th series), Dave Swatlowski showed the
league why he should be this year's rookie of the year with an 8 point extravaganza.
