The GHL was serenaded by stars that composed the entire GHL Black team. The star-studded
cast included Brent Larson, Zach Kvidt, Kelly Grotte, Jake Martin, and goaltender Travis Peach. But the real story tonight
lied in the play of youngstar Collin Grotte, who had the best night of his promising career scoring a total of three goals,
including a game winner in the second game in which he scored TWO GOALS. Everybody knew it was coming but Collin
was the only one who could make it happen. When asked if he knew he had it in him, Collin replied, "I just try to do
my job out there, get in position and try to make things happen." He did exactly that tonight.
Besides the exceptional play of Collin, GHL Black played well
as a whole and spread out the scoring. Brent's 8 goals that included a game winner and Jake's 5 assists were among their
impressive stats. Kvidt also had multiple game winners. Allbeit, they were against Goalie NIch Riveland, who took
the net for the first time of the 09 season due to Starter Zach Riveland's absence. "I was flat, along with my team."
On the other end, though, Travis was as solid as ever keeping Myron in check. Silver was no match for Black
tonight, although Sophmore Ian Bjerke did rack up 4 goals and an assist in his best statistical GHL series ever. "It's
too bad it was just a side note in such an eventful night," said Ian of his performance.
The GHL was able to complete 5 games, due to the early Saturday start. Six
