For the first time in the 07-08 GHL season, Nich Riveland was unable to make
a GHL series, due to his trip to Minnesota to visit family. The GHL was asked to record stats in his absence, but the
GHL was uncompliant. Consequently, all we officially know from this series is that there were 4
games played. Also, rookie phenonmenon Scott Schumacher was present. If stats would have been recorded,
Scott may have had a chance to retake the lead in the Rookies Race, and maybe not. With stats, Zach Myron may have secured
his place atop the league, and then again, he may have not. Jason Grotte would have officially secured his own place atop
the statistical category of games played, but because we have to count this game as an exhibition game, the game was
unofficial, and now Nich stays in a tie with Jason for games played, officially. Unofficially, Jason, should have 4
more games played than shows up on the statistics. But oh well, it was the choice of the league present at the series
to play without stats tonight and what matters most is having fun. Still, the fact that there were no stats recorded
makes Nich Riveland wonder if the only reason players comply with the stats is because he wants to. If that
is the case, all stats should be unrecorded and thrown away. If not, the league should show more compliance by recording
stats in all regular season games, even in Nich's absence. Please voice your opionion on GHL Talk.
PLAYER NOTES:
Scotty makes another unexpected GHL appearance.
