Game Summary: Silver Sweeps Series

It was a defensive night for both teams, resulting in a seemingly 3 game series with generally  longer games. Both goalies played well.  Zach however, unfortuately came out on the wrong end, losing all three games to his older brother, Nich.  Kelly Grotte said his team did all they could, but just coudn't put the puck in the net in a post series press conference.

PLAYER NOTES:

Alvine returns to reclaim his spot as the top 07-08 rookie, edging out Scott Schumacher again.

Ty is on a sizzling streak scoring 4 goals for the second series in a row and getting 5 points on the night.

Brent has been creeping up on the "Big Four" for over a month. NOW, Brent is one of the "Big Four", so to speak.  He has passed Andrew Grotte in points (62) and now ranks 4th in GHL Player Rankings while AG has moved to fifth.  This may be the most significant change thus far in the 07-08 season, other than when Zach replaced Nich at the top.  Brent achieved all of this tonight with 8 points in just 3 games and received 1st Star, even though he wore a pair of skates he was not used to.  Although he was distraught mentally about wearing a different pair of skates, after his pair broke last series, his game didn't waver a bit, in fact, it seemed heightened.  Larson played his 50th game of the year tonight.

There are now only 2 players who have played every game this season (70)
    ---Nich Riveland----Jason Grotte----CONGRATULATIONS!!
