Alvine and Kvidt ceased the Rookie of the Year Trophy in a year
that could have been called "The Year of the Rookies". It was these two, who the GHLPA picked in the end to receive
this one chance award, beating out at least ten other rookies, some of which were also very impressive.
Travis Alvine was brilliant when he was present in the GHL, and although
he missed a lot of season, he made the most of it in his appearances playing in twenty-six games and scoring thirty-five points
while playing defense as well.
Zack Kvidt was the cinderella story of the 07-08 season. Signed by the GHL late
into the season, Kvidt made up for time lost by climbing to 7th overall on the GHL Rankings directly behind Kelly Grotte.
Kvidt played in 43 games, the most among rookies, and scored 46 points.
